EU / UK distance-selling withdrawal right
If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a digital subscription purchase. Because alcoia's paid features are available immediately on purchase, we ask you to acknowledge that starting to use them during the 14 days may affect this right, consistent with EU distance-selling rules TODO: confirm exact consumer-rights wording with counsel. Where the right applies, contact billing@alcoia.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
Outside that window
Reader (individual) subscriptions: pro-rated refunds are considered case by case within the first 30 days for genuine dissatisfaction. email billing@alcoia.com. Teams & Classrooms and Institution plans are annual and non-refundable after the withdrawal window, except as agreed in a signed order form.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from account settings. You keep paid access through the end of the period you already paid for; the free tier continues afterward with no data loss to your free-tier features.
Chrome Web Store payments
Where a purchase is made through the Chrome Web Store's payment flow rather than directly, that store's refund terms apply in addition to this policy.
Data export
You can request an export of your account data at any time, including after cancellation, under the rights described in the privacy policy.
